Named after the rocky mound of Texas Hill Country they were raised on, Algerita Hill is a group of four siblings—Seth, Lisa, Mark, and Paul—who grew up taking piano lessons from Grandma and making music together. After six years of performing bluegrass across Texas and Oklahoma, they became both musically and relationally tight. Today they pursue individual career and family paths, which have taken priority over daily practices and festival performances.  Reluctant to leave their music completely behind, they’ve turned to sharing it online rather than in person.
The variety of music the siblings listen to is reflected in the songs they choose. Blending vocals and playing multiple instruments, they work hard to get a sound that they’re happy with -pretty difficult, actually- while having (mostly) fun in the process of home recording.
